@aswath @voiploser at consumer level probably. In the enterprise infrastructure overrides browser integration ... http://bit.ly/cKN6hs #3LB

@aswath yes. using the broadcom chipset, though
-
@aswath I try to subscribe to all followers -- the conversation flows more smoothly that way

@aswath if you want that feature, feel free to build it, but know that your system won't scale as well :)

@aswath you can't have snoopers in XMPP because only authorized people can receive your presence
-
@aswath presence is broadcasted, you just send it out and your contacts learn about it -- why do you need to track that?
-
@aswath you might find http://metajack.im/2008/09/11/real-time-is-completely-different/ interesting

@aswath you can't assume the contact is interested infrequently

@aswath because polling simply doesn't scale for presence

@aswath it's worse going the other way. Depends on how much crap your carrier ads to the message (AT&T ads a lot).

@aswath because going email to SMS, you lose available SMS characters. Same with going the other way.

@aswath identi.ca's not doing it for me.... Nothing quite matches Twitter (other than the uptime and func being enabled of everything else)
