@tioduke I run !kubuntu on 2 8y/o p4 1gb ram laptops, not slow at all. #natty/kde4.6 is noticably less resource-hungry imo a #win for !kde

@ankhwatcher there are tons of tweaks that can help, but can also depend on vid card/driver. iirc you might try disabling steams chat client
