     @darkbaboon 6 months after #slackware , #fedora ditches gzip for xz (#lzma). When !archlinux does the switch for its #repo ?

     @darkbaboon when you do a comparation of uncompressing time. gzip vs xz. pacman can handle already xz through libarchive
