Finally got Magic SysRq key working in Arch Linux. Trick was to edit /etc/sysctl.conf so that "kernel.sysrq = 1" Wish someone had told me

Learned not to ignore the /etc/host.allow file on Arch Linux. Just because I initially had it blank I was could not login via ssh.

Installed Arch for the 1st time. All went well. A bit odd that it would not boot at first until I added the UUIDs of the partitions to fstab
