      @thistleweb Yes, they sort of lost traction. I used the later versions as my main systems for quite a while. Good stuff.

        Hum. Looks like I'm stuck on !Wolvix cub till I replace this laptop. Optical drive is fried, can't boot from external drive.

                        @jordonr Xfce on Slackware is nice. I find these two to go well together in terms of mentality. Ever looked at !Wolvix?

                        @chrisj I tend to set up !Slackware pretty much in the way !Wolvix does. My BA thesis on Russian(Soviet) history was written on Slackware.

                        @chrisj ther are no official repositories. There is SlackBuilds.org for build scripts. I would stay away from linuxpackages.net, not trusted
