        Circle layout is good, especially when you have transparent terminals. !Xmonad should have it by default.

          @speeddefrost !xmonad does fine w/ gimp, chromium etc. for me (doFloat/doShift is a wonderful thing). plus gimp2.7 single window mode rocks

            @ghotir They also don't work very nice with panel applications. I think tiling functionality should be implemented as a separate program.
