@asfethan May I borrow your config file?
-
wow really nice :) which taskbar are you using?

!xmonad + !archlinux = #Awesomeness

Discovered "rdesktop -K", now rdesktop and !xmonad play nicely together
about 6 months ago from Choqok-
@mindkmst nice finding :)

@alex952 Please let me know how well this works for you.

Using #Gnome while fixing broken libraries after yesterday system upgrade. I miss my tiling window manager. !Gentoo !Xmonad
-
@flameeyes Thanks! #Google sucks brilliantly at this one http://www.google.com/search?q=gentoo%20--as-needed
-
@phunehehe: if you don't quote it, the - at the beginning of --as-needed means to look for what does _not_ include as-needed ;)
-
@flameeyes Haha dammit! Thank you very much :D
-
-
Circle layout is good, especially when you have transparent terminals. !Xmonad should have it by default.
-
@phunehehe I've not seen that before, need to check it out now. Cheers.

My most used keys - http://goo.gl/HIybU - yeah I am !xmonad user and gamer :) !linux

@ramonovski I am VIM user too, but I like arrows ;-) ESDF? Why? It's so useless.. It's not comfortable to press ~, 1, Meta, Alt...
-
@ramonovski you can use Q, Z, X, ALT with WASD too. And my meta-key is reserved for WM. ESDF is just another way to be different. That's all
-
Running !XMonad within !GNOME 3 session.. It's perfect! http://goo.gl/6d7y3

@aptidude 16 out of date in pacman o_O. Tsk-tsk
-
@aptidude is that xmobar? Configuration do want.
-
@sykopomp Everything should be here http://ur1.ca/4auic and the pacman scripts are adapted from this blog post http://ur1.ca/4auid

@worr i had been using #awesomewm & loved it. i just recently discovered !xmonad. it's my new favorite tiling wm du jour.
-
@worr I'm checking out scrotwm. best of dwm & xmonad sounds intriguing
-
@speeddefrost !xmonad does fine w/ gimp, chromium etc. for me (doFloat/doShift is a wonderful thing). plus gimp2.7 single window mode rocks
-
@ghotir They also don't work very nice with panel applications. I think tiling functionality should be implemented as a separate program.
-
-
hah. conflicting kbd shortcuts between !xmonad and !weechat resolved w/ aliases. dont know why i didnt think of it earlier
-
!xmonad rocks, but now i have to figure out some remapping of keys because the defaults for it & !weechat step on one another's toes
-
http://pastebin.com/xMiWkSCm surely there's an easier way? I can't seem to find one, or get it right !xmonad !linux
-
@sleepynate perfect. muchas thanks! i may've seen something about that ( esp. '++"foo bar"') but missed it as i rtfmed
-
@sleepynate admittedly it did me, at first ("I know not this haskell!"), but after buring my nose in it, makes more sense then lua
-
@sleepynate or maybe it was the convoluted use-every-language-extension-possible feeling to awesomewm (awesome as it was, tho)
-
-
going over sample !xmonad configs, to see how I can launch console apps in what is defined in "myTerm" variable. think I found an answer
-
@sleepynate I've used #awesomewm from day 1 of my !arch install. I see many dents about !xmonad, so I thought I'd better check it out
-
taking a real serious look at !xmonad. much easier to wrap my head around it, so far.
-
-
@desaparecido No it's the hardware/drivers that's gonna cause trouble. !xmonad + !uzbl and I don't need loads of memory.
