@ttghtg I used irssi for years but gave weechat a try and never looked back. Weechat feels more modern and easier to use.

@heeed Ah yes, but your branch of the family are never mentioned by mine after that business with the lion in 1892.

@iangaspard @davidm I'd recommend aurget. I find it does everything you need and seems reliable and simple. !arch

@eightyeight My friend sez it's cos \x gives \x if x is not special. When bash tool csh's history expansion \! kept previous output. #bash
-
@eightyeight just for extra fun echo Bash sucks! (with no quotes) works because whitespace after ! disabled history. #bash
-
@eightyeight yeah, it's quirky. usually that stuff comes when #bash steals features from other shells which leads to syntax warts.
-
@eightyeight 'history expansion will be performed unless an ! appearing in "" is escaped using a \. The \ preceding the ! is not removed.'
-
@eightyeight 1st is cos ! is history character. Second because "man bash" says so :) echo 'Bash sucks!' to get what you want. !linux #bash

!arch dc -e "3k $(pacman -Qi | awk -F: '/^Licences/ { print $2 } ' | grep GPL | wc -l) $(pacman -Q | wc -l) / 100 * p"

@dwa how stable is it? I haven't tried it since the last Ubuntu-based version
