The Mac is better than Gnome 3. In my opinion.

@gomerx Do you normally use gnome3 on Linux? It's not my main DE but I like it o.k. Have you messed around with Fink or MacPorts on it yet?

I've been revisitng Gnome 3 lately. It'll be better with some polish. This Mac is on loan from work, so I haven't done anything unusual.

@gomerx mac has good (expensive though) remote desktop program for mass admin of remote machines. Will you have to do that kind of thing?

It’s definitely not a one click update but I don’t find it too difficult. Usually less than 10 minutes counting creating a backup prior.

@jpope I guess what annoys me is that each time I have to upgrade, I also have to re-learn how to upgrade. Read instructions, make backup...
