Wow, great publicity for Brink with the Royal visit. Just turned on the news and thought "I'm sure that's Parr St".

@sandersch Totals? You mean the Royals? It's part of some charity Kate Middleton is supporting according to the news.

@moggers87 I know what you mean but it's an anti-addiction charity. Popular with recovering alcoholics.

En route to BOS. Watched "Drive" last night; superb film in every way, kind of a "Fast and Furious" antidote. Great music too.

It's apparently all about appearance this weekend. Washed car yesterday, getting haircut now, then home to give @dixieva a "pedicure."

Native English speakers, what's with "needs <verb>ed" in otherwise acceptable sentences? It's not correct or clear usage.

@fontana @stickster, I grew up saying "needs cleaned" & "needs washed", but I only remember it relating to cleaning & washing.

          • Bradley M. Kuhn Bradley M. Kuhn Richard Fontana

@fontana, that's correct. There's a silent 'r' in the word wash, of course, and the a is pronounced somewhat like an 'o'.
