I just found a 40 Mbyte SCSI drive: Writes 641 Kbytes/sec, reads 836 K/S. Would suit Atari ST :-)

Managed to scrape together a couple of PATA hard disks: wd0 (4.3G) has / and /home, wd1 (6.4G, less slow) has swap and /usr.

Higher bandwidth. I didn't test latency. Trying to cobble together a working machine from scrap parts. May have to find a PATA hard drive.
