@dandart It's a 'recommend' rather than 'depend', but Ubuntu now installs recommends by default. Perhaps MTA is for notification? No idea

@dooglus: Reboot is one thing I've tried. Can't see any traces of ADB via netstat or top. All highly confusing.

@rysiek Afaict it's trying localhost as it should. Haven't found a way to modify it either :/ Might have to try a Debian VM out of interest

@rysiek I've tried running adb with sudo on the off chance, but that doesn't make a difference. Can't think of what else might restrict it

@darwinsurvivor Yep, it does for Linux. I've been using them for ages. If you have prerequisites, can just extract to home, updates work etc

@hebert I'm not seeing that issue. Customise toolbar and put stop+refresh between URLbar and Search. My toolbars got fatter though :-/
