!Firefox 10 DOES seem faster in normal use!! I want speed but I don't want to belong to Google - I just keep Chromium around for games! ;-)

Careful, the search bar is connected to google by default. I keep chromium around for it's developer tools.

@zoowar Thanks. Though I've hacked my Firefox to use DuckDuckGo instead of Google (address bar, search bar, everywhere). I recommend it! ;)

@amon0thoth1 kmix volume slider always reset to mute on login, and even after i raise up the volume, there are no sound on KDE notification

@jaimealsilva meh - I got 3 soundcards (sb live, radeon hdmi & hotplug usb headphones) running just fine with pulseaudio :-) !opensuse
