Excellent, instamapper's iphone client *does* work with backgrounder. It successfully and accurately tracked a trip to school and home.

Happy yesterday I was able to update the efi-x chip and upgrade OSX to enable installation of iLife09 on non-Apple HW. Firewire worked too.
