I'm upgrading the no-longer-used wubi install of !Ubuntu on my netbook from Karmic to Lucid, to see what I'm in for with my main installs.
-
I'm testing out a new bit of boilerplate explaining how to properly use my !cc photos on !Wikimedia Commons: http://ur1.ca/x976
-
My dad (a professional musician) has a bunch of cc-by-sa music. Where do I upload it to make it appear on !librefm?
-
How do I add a directory (e.g., /home/sage) to the panel in !Lucid? In Karmic, I could just drag it from the Places menu.
-
@osmtransport: cool. But I can only use that from my computers, and Identi.ca will still go by my coordinates, not a named POI I select.
-
I just gave the PiTiVi video editor a try. Promising! It's the 1st video editor on !Linux (besides ffmpeg) I don't regret installing.
-
It's frustrating that even in !Lucid, the default pdf reader doesn't anti-alias. Is there a light non-Qt alternative to evince that does?
-
!identica wishlist: Use !openstreetmap points of interest along with my location data to let me post from a real place, a la Buzz.
-
Is Ctrl+L the only way to access the pathbar in !Lucid Nautilus? I really liked the toggle in Karmic; it made ssh via Nautilus a breeze.
-
Why can't I add anything from 'Files & Folders' to the Favorites menu in the !Ubuntu !Lucid netbook launcher? And why isn't Home there?

@ssweeny: Thanks! I guess that's why when I tried to get rid of the Evolution icon, it took sound with it.
-
Also really annoying in !Lucid alpha 3: It wouldn't let me drag an icon-link to the home folder from the Places menu onto the panel.
-
Worst thing in Lucid Alpha 3: I accidentally removed the volume applet from the !GNOME panel, and I can't find any way to restore it.
-
Things went better with !Ubuntu Lucid Alpha 3 when I added the netbook launcher and maximus manually, although there's no gui config tool.
-
I really like the new !ubuntu font. I'm not so sure about the palette (or the monochrome logo), but I'll give it a shot.
-
Every time I get a new daily build of !Gwibber, I hope this one will finally bring back the "minimize to tray on close" option. Still no. :(
