Last time I checked, you weren't a patent lawyer. Not to mention that your statement exposes you to infringement suit personally.

@swt @fontana @threethirty It is vry rare that @fontana says non-free and the FSF disagrees. Feel free to send it to licensing@gnu.org tho.

@swt @fontana @threethirty What do you mean? Are you asking if the FSF would think OpenCascade would be free if all the OCPL bits were rmvd?

@fontana @swt @threethirty I suspect the fact that Ubuntu (and now Debian) have accepted the license as-is contributed to the lack of change

@fontana @swt @threethirty In 2009, I tried to resolve the issues with the OCPL with the upstream. I was unsuccessful.
