there are many benefits to !dovark that #colemak doesn't address. colemak was about minimal learning curve first, efficiency second.

39 wpm after 6 weeks on #Colemak. Not really bad (I did 55 wpm after 5 years on QWERTY).

It's interesting !KDE binds hotkeys to hardware buttons. This means layout switching is Ctrl+Alt+K on QWERTY but Ctrl+Alt+E on !Colemak.

Learning #Colemak is going well. After one week, I can write texts (even in Czech) and I'm quite fast on the home row!

After just 4 days I _can_ write with #Colemak.

Should I learn #colemak, or should I stay with US QWERTY?

Having word "test" on base row, #colemak seems to suit me.

@mahmood هه‌هه. الان من فکر کنم سالگردش رو هم رد کردم. همیشه از #Colemak استفاده می‌کنم. منظورم این بود که یاد گرفتنش مشکلی ایجاد نمی‌کنه.

@dhraak Perhaps I should switch to !Colemak now in order to discard all the bad habits picked up since switching to !Dvorak 8–10 years ago

@trombonechamp I found emacs keybindings in !colemak better than the querty ones, just use them! (but in vim they were terrible for me!)

@trombonechamp dunno about !colemak/#emacs, but !dvorak/!vim seems to work well, with j/k close and h/l on the correct sides of the hand

The hardest thing about !Colemak is, by far, re-learning my !emacs keybindings. Any tricks or tips?

@mjjzf: !esperanto !colemak and !freesoftware overlap for me, and there were quite a few dvorak people in the esperanto channel at freenode.
