@mvdan possibly, I also use no-ip, haven't really played with dyndns myself, but it's pretty popular.

@mvdan Linode is a full VPS provider. Their DNS manager has an API that use to make a dynamic dns entry to poitn to my home.

@mvdan basically a subdomain of the domain you have that you update the record for to point to your home ip

@mvdan on one of my vps's on Linode I setup techiem2.homes.myvpsdomain and use a script on my linux router to update the dns record via api
