My plan @jonkulp, is to run our laptops/netbooks in the 2.4ghz range, and the Mythbox alone on 5ghz. I'll see how it goes.
-
@jonkulp Yea I've only have 2.4 network cards at the moment. But, I have a pci 2.4-5GHz card picked out for the Mythbox. Should work good.
-
@nybill I wonder if you'd get better performance by turning the WRT54G into a bridge and plugging mythbox into that with cat5?
-
@jonkulp oh wait, no you wouldn't because it's only wireless G. Duh...
-
-
Oh I didn't know our netbooks had "N" wifi cards as well. I should have gotten a "N" router a year ago! Its noticeably faster.
-
Well crap. Seems a stick of ram was missing from my shipment. :/

@jwildeboer Just as well that they changed to a black error screen in (I think) Vista, then. ;p
-
@jwildeboer Also still not sure why they didn’t use the traditional red-green-blue-yellow segment colours instead of all blue.

@eximious I'm guessing "Do or do not. There is no 'try'."

Well, that certainly makes more sense than "Size matters not. "

@bkuhn "get on with" could imply code has been written. repository? or is it going-to-open-source-(v.)-going-to-write #doublevapor

According to that talk page, it's about everything from book learning to church going, not to mention manners, snow and population density.
